To Be
I saw a post some months ago;
“She said, why do you expect to heal in isolation when you weren’t hurt in isolation?”
It stays with me.
These days, ‘just being’ feels like the hardest place to be. Everywhere you look, there are five steps to fix yourself or to brand yourself — all in the quest to be found worthy of love, or to find love.
But I’m learning something, and it’s warm.
Love is not meant to be found; it’s meant to be received.
Love is not something you earn; it’s something to be received.
Love does not ask you to be fixed or complete — it simply gives.
It is what transforms you and completes you.
It says, Take me. I’m here. I’m yours.
It beckons you to just breathe, to just be.
Love is steady, safe, and present.
I’ve seen people the world considered bad be loved so deeply.
Everyone is worthy of love because love calls you worthy.
Can we stop trying to earn love?
Let it in, and let it transform you.
I have come to understand that if love is a choice, then I have no influence as to whether I’m worthy of it or not.
Abba taught me this: He loves us because He chooses to.
People love people because they choose to.
If you have to earn it, then it’s not love.
So just breathe, receive it, and just be.🤍
