And love
Writing this and smiling sheepishly because I’m writing
I read a Stack post that said,
“Stop trying to write like a serious author. Loosen up, make a joke, break a rule. Start a sentence with ‘and.’”
So here it goes.
And love endures with patience and serenity, according to 1 Corinthians 13, the AMP version.
I pondered, what is serenity?
It is a state of being calm, peaceful, and untroubled.
Can I say love endures with patience, calm, peace, and safety ?
in anger, in shame, in pain,
in disrespect, in poverty,
in disgust, in disappointments,
when triggered?
And love endures all things.
It is the choicest grace.
If grace is unmerited, then love is right ?
These are questions for a conversation I hope to have with you someday, maybe under an oak tree, by a lake, or in a cozy café somewhere.
Not so soon though — I'd be patient.
